The robocall problem is getting out of hand, and consumers have been pissed due to the issue. However, the FCC has a plan to get ahead of it. The solution is to mandate all smartphones to have a common caller ID feature, at least in the US, which makes it easier for users to know in advance how to handle fraud and marketing calls.
